Layer 03: Money

What does it cost?

Bills, shared costs and budgets in one place, with who owes whom worked out for you.

Bills

Bills that schedule the next one.

Each bill has an amount, a due date, a repeat, an autopay flag, who pays it and how it splits. Tap Mark paid and the payment is recorded and the next bill is scheduled.

  • A payment history for every bill
  • A flag when a bill is more than 20% above its 3-month average
  • Due dates on the shared calendar

Splits and balances

Fair splits, without the spreadsheet.

Log an expense with a category, who paid and how it splits: equally, by custom amounts, or all on one person. Kinnomy keeps a running balance of who owes whom. When someone pays up, record a settle up and the balance clears.

  • Equal, custom or one-person splits
  • Balances that show who owes whom
  • Settle up records

Budgets and subscriptions

The money that quietly adds up.

Monthly budgets

A budget per category, like groceries, with progress through the month.

Subscriptions

Cost, cycle and renewal date, a yearly total, and a reminder before each renewal.

CSV import

Bring expenses in from a CSV file instead of typing them one by one.

No bank connections, on purpose

Kinnomy does not connect to your bank. Everything is typed in, imported from a CSV, or read from a photo of a bill or receipt with AI document reading on Household+. You never hand anyone your bank login. Opt-in bank connections are on the roadmap.

Which plans include it

Money is on Household and Household+. It is not included on Free. Compare plans.

Questions

About money

Can Kinnomy pay my bills?

No. It keeps track of them: amounts, due dates, who pays and how they split. You pay the way you always have, then tap Mark paid.

Can we split one bill unevenly?

Yes. Each bill says who pays it and how it splits. Expenses can be split equally, by custom amounts, or put on one person, and the balances follow.

What does the 20% flag mean?

When a bill comes in more than 20% above the average of its last three payments, Kinnomy marks it so someone takes a closer look.
