Who is in the household?
Everyone who shares the home, with or without a login. Each person gets a role, a color and exactly the access that fits them.
Members
Everyone counts, logins optional.
A household is its members. Some sign in with their own account. Others are profiles without a login, like a young child or a grandparent who would rather not have another password.
Both kinds show up on the calendar, can be given chores and get their birthday remembered.

Roles and permissions
Six roles. The right access for every age.
Each role starts with default permissions for every module: none, view or edit. The owner can change them for any one person.
Adult
A full member of the household, sharing the running of the home.
Teen
Their own login and their own chores, with the access you choose.
Child
For younger kids, with or without a login of their own.
Caregiver
For someone who helps look after a person in the home.
Guest
Short-term access, like a visiting relative or a house sitter.
Invites
Invite by link, or by a code at dinner.
Send an email invite, or share a 6-character join code in person. People who join with the code get the role you set for it, so a code for the kids does not hand out adult access.

Visibility
Household, Adults only, or Private.
Every item can be seen by the whole household, by the adults only, or by you alone. The surprise party stays a surprise, the lease stays with the grown-ups, and your own reminders stay yours.

About people and roles
Does a young child need an email address?
No. Add them as a profile without a login. They get a color, chores, points and a birthday reminder, and you manage them for them.
Can someone be in two households?
Yes. One account can belong to more than one household, with a switcher between them. It is how people run their own home and help with a parent’s.
Who pays for the household?
Billing belongs to the household owner. One subscription covers everyone in the household.
