Bills and splits

Add bills, mark them paid, split expenses fairly, see balances, settle up, and set budgets and subscriptions.

Money in Kinnomy keeps track of what the household owes and who owes whom. It does not move money and it does not connect to a bank.

In Money, add a bill with:

  • the amount and the due date,
  • how often it repeats,
  • whether it is on autopay,
  • who pays it, and how it splits between people.

The due date appears on the shared calendar and in the weekly brief.

When a bill is paid, tap Mark paid. The payment is recorded in the bill’s history and, for a repeating bill, the next one is scheduled.

If a bill comes in more than 20% above its 3-month average, it is flagged so someone takes a closer look.

For one-off costs, log an expense with a category, who paid, and how it splits:

  • Equally between the people sharing it,
  • by custom amounts, or
  • on one person.

Kinnomy keeps a running balance of who owes whom. When someone pays another person back, record a settle up and the balance updates.

Set a monthly budget per category, like groceries, and see progress through the month. The weekly brief mentions a category that goes over.

Add each subscription with its cost, its cycle and its renewal date. Kinnomy shows the yearly total and reminds you before each renewal.

If you already track expenses in a spreadsheet, import them from a CSV file instead of typing them in.

Everything in Money is typed in, imported from a CSV, or read from a photo. On Household+, AI document reading turns a photo of a bill or receipt into suggested fields for you to confirm.

Money is on Household and Household+. On Free, Money is not included. After a trial ends, existing money records become read-only until someone upgrades.
