Documents vault

The documents vault is where the household’s important papers live: the lease, the insurance policies, the warranties, the receipts.

In Documents, upload a PDF or a photo. Give it a category:

• insurance, lease or mortgage, warranty, ID, medical, school, receipt, tax, vehicle, or other.

Link it to the thing it belongs to (the warranty to the fridge) or the contact it relates to.

• Files are stored in a private folder.
• There is never a public link to a file.
• Every download checks that you are a member of the household with access to that document.
• Sensitive categories default to Adults only. You can change the visibility of any document to Household, Adults only or Private.

An honest note: documents are private, but not end-to-end encrypted. They are protected by access checks on our servers.

Give a document an expiry date and Kinnomy reminds you 30 days before. The date also shows on the calendar. It works well for passports, insurance policies, the lease and vehicle registration.

On Household+, photograph or upload a bill, a receipt or a warranty and get suggested fields to confirm. You check them before anything is saved.

• Household: 2 GB for documents.
• Household+: 10 GB for documents.
• Free: the documents vault is not included. Free includes contacts and notes.

If a trial ends or a plan changes, nothing is deleted. Documents become read-only until someone upgrades.
